Solid Upgrade Choice

I recently purchased this kit and have been amazed by how much of an improvement I’ve seen. I have a Lima Class 37 converted to DCC using a HM7000 decoder that would continually jump about. Trying to move at slow speeds was near impossible even after a thorough service. I’d seen a review from OOBILL about this kit and decided to give it a crack. The kit was easy to fit, taking about half hour max and takes out all the guess work with trying to identify a decent quality CD motor. The loco runs better than ever before. The motor is almost silent and I can crawl along with no issues whatsoever even without a flywheel. I’d definitely recommend this kit to anyone thinking of taking the leap and for £12.50 you really can’t complain. Anonymous (1 Aug 2025, 21:30)

CD Motor for Lima class 55

12345
Ordered a cd motor to replace the ringfield motor that was very noisy in my deltic saw these on oobill on YouTube and decided to try one, fitting was very easy worked out red wire goes to rear boggy and black wire to front boggy fitted it ran it now a lot quieter and runs great after running in it should be perfect thanks guys I’ll deffo order some more for other locos 👍🍰Bob (22 Sep 2024, 22:45)

Excellent replacement of Co-Co

12345
I ordered a couple of these pancake replacements, for some old Lima locomotives from 1980's, which ran rough, hard, and acted like missiles during acceleration! But now, with these Co-Co's installed, I have totally different equipment! Runs smooth, normal acceleration, and comfortable sound! And very easy installation on top of it all! My absolute recommendation! Best regards from Sven in Norway.Sven Arvid Moberg (30 Jun 2024, 18:48)

Lima replacement CD motor

12345
I have now used three of the motors in some of my older Lima models, where the original had become tired, or in one case, really run hard. The new motors are very easy to fit, with the minimum of wiring, two are running on straight 12 volt DC, one I have added a Hornby Zero 1 loco module, the performance is excellent, very controllable at slow or hi speed, the Zero 1 control is a massive improvement, highly recommended.Paul Bee (25 Jun 2024, 22:54)

Lima Co-Co Replacement Motor Feedback

Just thought I would give feedback on the CD motor I received, have tried CD motors from other suppliers however yours is the best, extremely easy to install and the performance is extremely good.Mark Broad (4 Apr 2024, 22:33)
